Cosmetics outsourcing, as the name suggests, is a service by an outsourcing company whose main activity is to produce cosmetics in an industrial scale and, when necessary, provide the regularization their commercial launch. Cosmetics outsourcing aims to alleviate the fast paced schedules of big companies, as they no longer need their own lab or production site; while guaranteeing safety and agility in cosmetics production. Using this kind of service, it’s possible to start your own production, without even having to hire your own employees for the manufacturing, a simple contract with a specialized company is enough.

On broad strokes, cosmetic outsourcing companies are responsible for both obtaining the necessary inputs (packaging, labels etc.), and for the production itself. However, it’s important to notice that this can change greatly from company to company. Some of them offer the full-service while others only focus on the manufacturing aspect, leaving the inputs for the hiring party. Other than these essential services, the company can also act in registering the products in the responsible organs to permit commercialization. Last but not least, companies can also adjust the formulae according to the needs of the hiring party, send prototypes for testing and approval and conduct quality tests.

The hiring of the production sector professionals varies depending of multiple factors. It depends on the size of the factory, the demand of the clients and more. Our production process is conducted in two different formats: Triangular and Full Service. When the client chooses Triangular, he is completely responsible for budgeting and paying the inputs to the final supplier. This can be done either through an outside supplier, or one from our list of indications. If Full Service is the chosen format, Stoa becomes responsible for the budgeting of the inputs. Therefore, the client is only responsible for choosing the color and format of the packaging. After this step, we can start evaluating the final price of the products. During this process, the client is asked to fill in a birefing in which they select which of the 2 methods they will want to follow through with and give a brief description about the products they wish to develop. After the budget has been green-lit, we start developing samples according to the briefing provided by the client. During this step, both parties must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement for ensuring project security. Finally, the samples are sent to the client along with an evaluation form, after the client approves the sample, the full-scale production can finally start.
